As usual, you can read it as you prefer; even the fact her hair’s covered leaves you freedom of choice about the time of her life to set this scene in.

If I had to share my personal reading, I wanted to represent a moment when she’s working and she’s getting satisfaction from what she’s enthusiastically, successfully doing, not needing anything else to feel realized.

As you might have noticed from my previous pictures, I avoid portraying this character as love drunk or totally devoted to her partner. Not to mention how they actually were not always caring for each other during their story, I don’t think Bulma’s really the self-abnegating type - nor Vegeta is, though they surely know some kind of devotion and loyalty.

Far from thinking that she lacks love or affection, she’s now working, and to work is what she wants to do. No “I can’t wait to get this done and stay with you” scenarios in my mind, in other words.

But then again, you’re free to read it as you prefer! and, as always, I’d be very happy to know your personal interpretation of this scene if you feel like sharing it.
